Vasco Congress leader Nandadeep Raut has alleged that the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls was a systematic attempt by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) to remove voters belonging to sections perceived to be close to opposition parties.
Addressing the media, Raut claimed that the revision exercise was used as a tool to target specific communities and delete their names from the electoral roll. He asserted that such actions undermine democratic processes and called for transparency in the verification mechanism.

The leader announced a mega ward-wise campaign to collect documents of all voters whose names were deleted during the SIR process. He said the campaign would focus on assisting affected individuals in submitting the required paperwork and ensuring their names are reinstated in the electoral roll.
Raut further assured that the Congress would not allow any voter’s name to be deleted due to alleged political pressure and vowed to take up the matter with the concerned authorities to safeguard voting rights.
