Vasco Devotees Urge Railways for Special Trains to Vailankanni Feast

Devotees from Vasco-da-Gama have made a renewed appeal to the South Western Railways to operate special trains to Vailankanni, Tamil Nadu, for the upcoming annual Novenas and Feast of Our Lady of Good Health.

A long-standing tradition for many Goan Catholics, the pilgrimage to the famous Vailankanni Shrine draws thousands every year. Locals are urging authorities to run trains on the proposed departure dates of August 27, September 2, and September 5, with return services on August 30, September 3, and September 8, 2025.
