The Murgao Nagrik Shimgotsav Samiti (MNSS) will organize the Shigmo floats parade in port town on Monday.
The float and romtamel will kick off from Thakker House, followed by folk dance competition, prize distribution and fire works display, informed MNSS Treasurer Manish Arolkar.
Nana Bandekar, a businessman, will be the chief guest during float parade. Other office bearers of MNSS will also be present during the float parade.
The MNSS has taken the efforts to make Shimgotsav celebration more colourful this year with a number of cultural programme.
Performance by Seven Star Orchestra, Naveen Prabhakar and Limca Book record holder Kish Juggler Hyderabadi enthralled the audience on Saturday night.
Before the commencement of float parade, Lions Club of Chicalim-Bogmalo will organize a walking race for senior citizen in memory of late Dr Shrikant Verenkar at 4 pm.
Meanwhile, Vasco Police (Traffic) has restricted the movement of heavy vehicles in Vasco city on March 16 from 3 pm till float parade is over.
Swatantrapath road from Bank of India at Joshi Chowk to Mascarenhas building, opposite St Andrew Church, will remain closed for all the vehicles, while FL Gomes road will be kept open for all the vehicles. Parking will be allowed on the internal roads between 3 pm till float parade is over.
