Social activist Adv Aires Rodrigues had on Tuesday filed a complaint before Chief Secretary seeking a probe into the selection of Raymond Fernandes for the post of Awal Karkun by the North Goa Collectorate.

The complainant alleged that the Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree submitted by Raymond is from Lucknow-based Bhartiya Shiksha Parishad, which is cleared in 2007.

Rodrigues in his complaint stated that there was enough reason to believe that the certificates of educational qualifications submitted by Raymond are forged and fabricated as he had failed to clear his SSC exam in the first attempt.

Rodrigues has drawn the attention of the authorities that according to the University Grants Commission (UGC) the Bhartiya Shiksha Parishad in Lucknow is unrecognized and functioning in violation of Section 2(f) and Section 3 of the UGC Act, 1956.
