PANJIM: Vijai Sardessai used the BJP’s own vision document that was published before the elections to corner the government on the issue of land acquisition for Mopa.
Quoting from BJP’s own document he showed how they had promised that for PPP projects the private partner would have to buy 80 per cent of the land from the land owners. “Is this another U-turn by Parrikar,” Sardessai asked.
Fifty-four lakh sq metres of land is sought to be acquired by a private investor, he said.
Dabolim has not been resolved, the move to strangulate Dabolim to make way for Mopa is clearly coming to the fore, Sardessai said.
