Visitors increasing at Haravalem waterfall, locals ask for better security

Bicholim: The Rudreshwar temple at Haravalem and the waterfall in its premises are witnessing not just increasing level of rains but also the visitors. The  constant rains in last two days have added more beauty to the scenic place but it has also raised question mark on safety standards in the area. The locals have demanded to appoint a safety guard in the premises as multiple visitors have lost their lives here before.

“The Rudreshwar temple is widely visited tourist spot but government and concerned department’s ignorance has led to deaths of quite a few visitors. This gives bad reputation to the temple committee. A joint meeting between tourism department and Devsthan should be held for a discussion,” said temple committee’s president Yashwant Madkar.
