Goa Forward Party (GFP), the ally in Bharatiya janata Party (BJP) led State government, said that they are very much with Narendra Modi led NDA for the Lok Sabha elections, which are due next year.
“We are NDA allies at the moment and we cannot say that we are not with
them. We are with them for the polls,” GFP President Vijai Sardesai informed.
When asked, whether the party intends to contest the by-elections due in Shiroda and Mandrem constituencies, Sardesai said “The Party will take a stand once the by-polls are announced”.
He said that the party has its presence in Shiroda. “We have a Sarpanch in Panchwadi from the Party. Also our leader Akbar Mulla is from there,” he stated.
