Thereafter Rajaram Dessai filed a complaint at the Valpoi Police station. Deepashree Sawant arrested by Valpoi Police in 2021. But for three years now the case is still awaiting trial.
On March 12, 2021, Rajaram Dessai from Desai Wada, Advoi-Sattari had filed complaint against Deepashree. The accused induced him to pay Rs 95,000 for a pump operator’s job in Water Resources Department (WRD)
Deepashree used a counterfeited seal impression of WRD and forged signature for purportedly to be issued by chief executive officer, WRD, Alto-Porvorim. The fake appointment letter was used medical examination at Asilo Hospital, Mapusa, thereby the accused person cheated the complainant.
Deepashree is presently in police custody as she has been arrested by the Ponda Police for cheating two individuals from Usgao and Sanvordem to the tune of Rs 15 lakh and Rs 10 lakh respectively.
Police sources said Deepashree was arrested in under sections 465, 468, 471, 472, 473 and 420 of IPC.
