Will not shut down sugar factory: CM

Chief Minister Digamabar Kamat today assured that the government has no plans to shut down the Sanjeevini Sugar Factory at Usgao.
The state has so far invested 49 crores as a share capital till today, Kamat said.
He said the state has also made a budgetary provision of two crores out of which two crores have already been released.
On contract farming, the chief minister stated that a notification in this regard will be issued shortly.
