PANJIM: With another nine recoveries reported on Wednesday the State now has 31 active COVID-19 positive cases.
Health Secretary Nila Mohanan said there was one positive case of a person who travelled to Mumbai to bring his family and returned within 48 hours.

While he tested positive for the novel coronavirus, his family tested negative. However, all have been quarantined and the positive patient has been shifted to the COVID hospital.
With a total of 37 recoveries, the State now has 31 active cases.
On Wednesday, 608 samples were sent for testing and received 525 reports, 112 reports are still awaited.
There are three persons in hospital isolation, 446 interstate domestic travellers under home quarantine, 74 people in facility quarantine, and 244 people are quarantined under various facilities.
Mohanan further said that there were seven flights which landed on Wednesday. “Every day by road, on an average around 350 people came in Goa from all six check posts,” Mohanan said, replying to a query.
On starting restaurants and hotels, she said there is no decision as yet.
Mohanan disclosed that a private lab – Suburban Diagnostics – has been approved for collecting swabs for COVID and sending to Mumbai for testing.
Revenue secretary Sanjay Kumar said that till date 31 trains have left Goa carrying around 68,000 people since April 29 and around 5,800 people, including seafarers, have entered the State.
