Supriya Suresh Gaonkar, resident of died after she fell off the Galgibaga railway bridge.

It is suspected that she fell due to strong wind caused by a passing train.
The women generally travel in groups to go to the sea shore. Supriya was crossing the bridge with a group of women. They were on their way to collect shellfish. It is at this time that a train passed by at full speed.
Supriya unfortunately got blown off by the breeze and fell off the bridge. This resulted in her instant death. The police have registered the incident as unnatural death.
