RCC Salvador do Mundo crowned overall champions as budding pugilists showcase talent during 14-day training camp and competition.
The 1st All Goa Boxing Training Camp-cum-Competition concluded on a high note at Joggers Park, Chicalim, bringing together young boxing talent from across the state for a 14-day programme focused on training, skill development and competition.

The event culminated with a closing ceremony attended by Goa Transport Minister Mauvin Godinho and Krishna Salkar, who congratulated the participants for their dedication and sporting spirit.
Addressing the gathering, Godinho lauded the discipline, commitment and determination displayed by the young boxers throughout the camp. He noted the growing popularity of boxing among Goa’s youth and encouraged aspiring athletes to continue honing their skills and pursuing excellence in the sport.
Drawing inspiration from boxing legend Muhammad Ali, the minister urged participants to focus on improving their speed, stamina and technique while maintaining a strong work ethic both inside and outside the ring.
Godinho also commended the coaches, trainers and organisers for their efforts in promoting boxing and providing a platform for young athletes to develop their talent and gain competitive experience.
In the team standings, RCC Salvador do Mundo emerged as the overall champions of the competition, while Jab & Box Club secured the runners-up position. The tournament witnessed enthusiastic participation across multiple age groups, weight categories and gender divisions, highlighting the depth of emerging boxing talent in Goa.
Organisers described the event as a successful initiative aimed at nurturing future champions and strengthening the grassroots development of boxing in the state.
