PANJIM: The Panjim Town Police on Tuesday arrested a youth at Vasco Railway Station while he attempted to escape from Goa after stealing whopping cash from his owner’s residence at Taleigao.
The 22-year-old identified as Manish Bhoj, a native of Uttrakhand worked as a domestic help and cook at the residence of one Banu in Taleigao. As per her complaint, the accused decamped with Rs 5 lakh approximately.

During investigation, the police traced him at Vasco Railway Station as he planned to escape. The Vasco railway staff arrested him and confiscated the stolen cash from his possession. He has been remanded to seven days police custody.
