India’s T20 and ODI World Cup hero Yuvraj Singh has praised teenage prodigy Vaibhav Sooryavanshi for his fearless batting and exceptional talent. The 15-year-old, who impressed in his debut IPL season, faced questions about consistency this year. He silenced all doubts with a 15-ball fifty for Rajasthan Royals against Chennai Super Kings, hitting 52 off 17 balls, including five sixes and four fours, showcasing remarkable power and timing.
Yuvraj singled out Sooryavanshi’s hand speed as extraordinary. “Vaibhav’s bat speed is incredible. Honestly, even I didn’t have that. Very few players I’ve seen can bat that quickly… His off-side sixes, even against top-quality deliveries, showed real skill,” he said during the Sports Tak podcast.

Earlier, Sooryavanshi starred in the Under-19 World Cup final, scoring a record-breaking 175 from just 80 balls, hitting 15 sixes and 15 fours, and reaching his century in only 55 balls. His innings guided India to their sixth Under-19 World Cup title and earned him Player of the Match honours. Now 15, he is eligible for senior selection, and his fearless approach and record-breaking performances have positioned him as one of India’s most exciting young prospects.
