PANJIM: Albert Developers Tigers defeated United Club Nadora by 24 runs to move into the semi-finals of the Albert Developers Sports Clubs first Season Ball Cricket Tournament played at Sports Authority of Goa ground, in Panjim, on Tuesday.
Electing to bat first Albert Developers left no stone unturned as the hit 183 runs in 20 overs. Vinod Wilson (41), Mhuktar Kadri (29) and Gaurav Desai (25) were the top scorers for the host side. In reply, UC Nadora managed to get only 159/9 in 20 overs through Vithal Gawas’ 60 runs, Sankalp Gawas (26) and Dattaraj Arondekar (19), the rival bowlers did their job as they restricted the Nandora with Sher Bahadur Yadav picking 3 wickets and Vinod Wilson picking 2 wickets.
Man-of-the-Match was awarded to Vinod Wilson.
Earlier, in another quarter-final match, Aarvi Korgao defeated Gaunem Strikers Bandora by 84 runs to move into the last four.
Electing to bat first Aarvi Korgao scored 179/8. Anush Kerkar (64), Aniket Desai (31) and Suraj Dengre were the top scorers for the winners. Gaunem Strikers were restricted to 95 runs as they were bowled out in 17 overs.
Anush was awarded the Man-of-the Match.
