PANJIM: Albino Pereira hat-trick helped Parish Youth Nuvem thump Curtorim Gymkhana 3-0 to move into the semi-finals of 43rd Custodio memorial football tournament organised by Raia Sporting Club, at Raia panchayat ground, on Monday.
PY Nuvem led 1-0 at half time.
Both the teams started on a promising note. As the match progress, PY Nuvem had the slight edge. Albino gave PY Nuvem the lead in the 12th minute, dodging a couple of players before firing past the keeper.
In the second half, Albino scored again in the 54th minute with a neat finish from a close range.
Albino then completed his hat-trick in the 59th minute after a defensive lapse by the Curtorim’s defender with a simple tap in to make it 3-0.
