PANJIM: Audi Brothers put up a fine show as they won the gold and silver at the Goa State Open Juniors Chess Championship 2016, at Pernem, recently.
Geno Pharmaceuticals Brand Ambassador and student of RMS College, Audi Ameya of Salcete Taluka won the Goa State Juniors U-19 Chess Championship in the Open category with a score of 6.5 while Saiesh Audi of Vidya Vikas Academy sealed the runners-up spot with a score of 6, followed by Harsh Bhobe with 5.5 points, Devesh Naik and Aayush Shirodkar with 5 points.
Meanwhile, Aditi Prabhugoankar of Mahila Nutan from Canacona Taluka won the Championship in Girls category, who remained undefeated, with a score of 6.5 out of 7 rounds, followed by Geno Brand Ambassador Swera Braganza with a score of 5.5 points, Tanvi Hadkonkar , Snehal Naik and Gayathri S with 5.5 points .
The first two selected players will represent at the Nationals to be held in Andhra Pradesh, in October.
