Mohun Bagan completely overpowered ONGC in the round ten tie of I-league at Sahu Maharaj ground in Kolhapur as Chidi Edeh’s brace helped Bagan hand a 3-1 defeat to the local outfit.
It was in the 32nd minute that Ishfaq Ahmed gave Bagan their first goal from a Chidi Edeh pass from the right flank. Just after two minutes it was Edeh who came good and scored after cutting past two ONGC defenders.
B Babatunde came close to scoring but he just missed the post by a whisker. But in the 43 rd minute N D Opara scored a penalty goal. In the 56th minute, ONGC’s Jatin Singh missed an opportunity to equalise.
Edeh scored the winning goal.
