rnBetalbatim Sports Club moved into the quarter-finals of 9-a-side F&C Cup 2010 soccer with a 5-4 win via the tie-breaker over Nerul Sports Club organized by Verem Boys in memory of Caetano Piedade Colaco at Verem ground on Sunday.
rnAt the end of the 70-minute duel the teams were locked in a 1-1 draw.
rnNerul forged ahead in the 13th minute through Jenifer Clemente’s free kick from outside the penalty box.
rnOn crossing over, in the 48th minute, Desmond Fernandes, wiped out the one-goal deficit also from a free kick.
rnIn the penalty shoot-out, Caji D’Souza, Dickson Fernandes, Anstan Rocktav and Bradley Rocktav were on target for Betalbatim while for Nerul, Jenifer Clemente, Dipraj Sangelekar and Sarvesh Dabolkar scored.
