UTORDA: Betalbatim Sports Club edged past Uguem Rising Club, Sanguem 3-2 to move into the final of the 26th Lourdes festival all Goa inter-village soccer in memory of Bernard Custodio D’Souza organised by United Club of Utorda in association with Sports Authority of Goa, at SAG ground, Utorda, on Saturday.
Both the teams dished out good exciting football. Betalbatim Sports Club converted a free-kick which was taken by Clifford Miranda in the 10th minute.
Uguem Rising restored parity and converted penalty in the 14th minute by Aliston Sousa.
The score at lemon time was 1-1.
Post resumption, Betalbatim fortified their moves and it bore fruit at 47th minute with Dylan Rodrigues netted through a cross shot.
In the 50th minute, Betalbatim scored through beautiful header off Ronaldo Coelho.
Uguem Rising Club reduced the margin through Aliston D’Souza in the 46th minute by a shot.
