Bhakti, Ivana and Riddhi with six points each after the end of eight rounds stand a chance to finish in the medal list if they win the remaining rounds at the World Youth Chess championship in Halkaidiki, Greece.
Results: WIM Bhakti Kulkarni (six points) beat WIM Hoang Thi Nhu 2214 of Vietnam. She is now in joint second position in U-18 girls. Riddi Zantye (six points) beat Gombocz Zsofia of Hungery in U-8 girls. WCM Ivana Furtado (six points drew) with WFM Li Zhuoling 1863 of China in U-12 girls.
Nitish Belurkar (five points) drew with Czupor Attila 1757 of Hungary in U-10 and Riya Savant (five points) beat Korchagina Alena of Russia in U-10 girls.
