MAPUSA: The Goa Cricket Association today took a final decision to construct a state-of-the-art international cricket stadium at Bicholim.
The proposal was approved at Managing Committee meeting at the headquarters in Porvorim.
Speaking to Herald GCA General Secretary Chetan Desai informed that the GCA will be purchasing around three lakh sqmts land, but the total cost of the entire project is not yet estimated.”
The project which is said to come up at Van-Maulinguem in Bicholim taluka is likely to take shape in the next two years if things go according to plans.
“The entire project will not cost less than 150 crore,” Desai mentioned. As the stadium is coming up in Mayem Constituency, local MLA and Deputy Speaker Anant Shet has already assured his support for the same.
