SA edged Russia with just a point, after the latter finished third in the group with six points.
Brazil had earlier defeated SA 3-0 in the group stage and will look to repeat the feat in the final clash to emerge the champs.
Russia will lock horns with China in the third place clash earlier on Saturday morning at the Nehru Stadium. Russia had defeated China 4-1 in their group encounter.
