Movin represented Goa in the year 2014-15 in the Sub-Junior football tournament and won bronze medal in football tournament held in Delhi. The 16-year-old footballer, a student of Our Lady of Rosary High School, Fatorda, emphasised on education with sports related carrer in today’s world. “Today there is lot of scope for football with Indian Super League and I-League proving a platform for youngsters,” expressed Movin.
“Now all this is possible due to GFA and local Goan Clubs for organising various domestic leagues and inter-village and inter-ward football tournaments as they are nurseries of sports,” Mouvin added.
“I’m grateful to Rowan Colaco and Jawayanant G Hammanavar (both teachers of Our Lady of Rosary School) for their guidance and coaching,” he concluded.
Jenell Almeida
Jenell, a young and aspiring football player of Fatima Convent high School, Margao, stole the lime-light during an inter-school tournament held in Margao recently. The 12-year-old girl was extremely brilliant among the lot of her age group as she bossed on the pitch with excellent ball control and match reading ability.
Jenell, a fan of Real Madrid, wants to emulate her star—Cristiano Ronaldo on the big stage. The striker has earned praises from former player Covan Lawrence over her ability and skills on the field. “She is quite good as a player at her age. Her game reading ability is her strength but there is always room for improvement to be better,” said Covan Lawrence, who also happens to be her school team coach.

Trusha is already making her name in the field of table tennis. The 11-year-old is State second ranked player and has played at the Nationals held in Goa and participated in four zonals held at Thana, Daharwad, Haryana and Indore.
“My aim is to play for India,” said Trusha.
Trusha is a student of A J De almida High School Ponda and has won many laurels in various table-tennis events held across the state.
Usha S Narvekar
The 40-year old Usha, a kabaddi player, who believes that Sports is the answer for all sorts of problems.
“In order to overcome all kinds of stress, one has to give importance to sports which is also good for fitness too,” said Usha S Narvekar.
During her school days Usha played Kabaddi and represented Goa in Delhi, Chennai, Hyderebad.
However, Usha believes that it’s never too late to learn new things as she is presently training at Zito Archery Academy at Panjim.
Usha said, “Sports/fitness and education should go hand in hand. The young kids should balance the two for a great future,”
She wants to represent the State in Archery in the future.
