RAIA: CAC Cansaulim edged out St Sebastian UC, Benaulim, 3-2, and moved into the quarter-finals of the 22nd Fr Basilio Andrade Memorial tournament at Musson ground, Majorda, on Wednesday.
St Sebastian UC opened the scoring in the early minutes through a penalty converted by Faizal and carried the lead into half-time.

However, CAC Cansaulim remained undeterred by the early setback and continued to apply relentless pressure on the Benaulim defense.
Their determination paid off when Asher found the net, levelling the score and reigniting the crowd’s enthusiasm. A few minutes later CAC Cansaulim were awarded a penalty which was converted by Elvino.
Benaulim affected a double change bringing in Nicholas and Joel. The change bore immediate results with Joel heading in a neat cross from Nicholas.
The match looked headed for a tie-breaker but Cansaulim had other ideas. Asher dispossessed a Benaulim defender and slotted the ball past the advancing Benaulim goalkeeper, 3-2.
