Calangute walk past Penha de Franca

CALANGUTE, OCT 20 Calangute Association trounced Penha de Franca 3-0 to move into the semi-finals of 37th Candolim Panchayat Cup inter-village football tournament organised by Candolim Sports Club at Dr. Gustavo Monteiro Stadium, Candolim on Wednesday.

Calangute Association trounced Penha de Franca 3-0 to move into the semi-finals of 37th Candolim Panchayat Cup inter-village football tournament organised by Candolim Sports Club at Dr. Gustavo Monteiro Stadium, Candolim on Wednesday.
Dominating the proceedings, Calangute took the lead in the seventh minute through Sherwin Lobo. Goaded by success, Calangute doubled the lead through Francisco Fernandes in the 18th minute.
Cliff Fernandes rounded off the tally in the 48th minute. Penha tried to make a fight but could not penetrate the Calangute defence.
