PANJIM: Candolim Sports Club thumped PVC Parra 5-1, in the Goa Football Associations U-16 league match played at Candolim ground, on Wednesday.
Nacent DSouza opened the scoring for the home side in the 17 minute before they shot into the lead through Riha Khan in the 32nd minute.
Post resumption, Nacent scored another goal for Candolim SC to take their tally to 3-0 in the 52nd minute before Joel Fernandes and Samson Fernandes scored a goal each in the 57th and 68th minutes respectively.
Saheel Shaikh pulled a goal back for the Parra side in the 70th minute as the match ended 5-1.
In another match at Don Bosco Oratory ground, Salgaocar FC scored a resounding 6-2 win over Don Bosco Oratory Fatorda.
The home side conceded the first goal in the 12th minute through Sujeet Kumar but managed to find the equaliser soon afterwards as Jordan Azavedo shot the ball past the Salgaocar keeper.
The young Green Brigade’s Antush Moniz shot the ball home to take the lead yet again in the 36th minute before Saseej Kumar doubled the lead before the breather.
Post resumption, Salgaocars Joben Cardozo (43′), Amar Raibhav (52′) and Antush Moniz (57′) scored while DBO’s Clifford Noronha pulled a goal back.
At Nagoa ground, Parish Youth Nuvem and Pax of Nagoa played a 1-1 draw.
Jonas Colaco scored for the Nuvem side while Ellie Fernandes made it all square in the injury time.
