MARGAO: Santa Cruz Club of Cavelossim shunted out United Club of Benaulim 8-7 via the sudden-death to storm into the quarters of all-Goa Chinchinim-Deussua Village Panchayat Cup football tournament organized by CRC, Chinchinim, at church ground, Chinchinim, on Wednesday. Vincy Fernandes and Macwill Gracias scored for Benaulim while Rolland Fernandes and Raju Cardozo scored for Cavelossim in normal time,In the tie breaker, Mohammed Shaikh, Charles Rodrigues, Rolland Fernandes, Joseph Fernandes, Aurovile Afonso were on target for Cavelossim while Santan Fernandes, Xamaro Rodrigues, Vincy, Ozie Fernandes and Clyaston Fernandes found the mark for Benaulim. The tie-breaker also failed to produce the result and the issue was resolved to sudden death.
In the sudden death, Selwyn Gomes was successful for Santa Cruz Club of Cavelossim while Macwill Gracias failed to score for United Club of Benaulim.
