MAPUSA: CDJ Ribandar Sports Club drubbed Candolim Sports Club by 3-0 margin to advance into the quarter-final of the Milagres Soccer Cup organised by Milagres Sports Club, at Duler Stadium, here on Friday.
Ribandar’s Shashank Naik collecting a pass from his teammate just outside the penalty box scored past the Candolim keeper to take the lead in the 20th minute.
Just before the breather, Ribandar further consolidated their lead as Ramesh Palkar was at the right place to score from inside the penalty box to make it 2-0.
On crossing over, Candolim went all out to reduce the margin but they failed to find the back of the Ribandar nets.
However, Ribandar went further to net in their third goal as Salu Santos scored in the 60th minute with a neat placement.
