Churchill Bros pip Goa

Churchill Brothers defeated the Goa Santosh Trophy team probables 2-1 in a friendly match at Chowgule college on Tuesday. Joseph Lapira, who is currently on trial with Churchill Brothers scored the winning goal.
New York born, Joseph has played for the Irish National team against Ecuador and has spent the last two seasons playing in the Norwegian league. He opted to play in Goa before making a decision on trying out for a US Major League team.
Meanwhile, the Goa probables took a little time to get into the game as it was their first friendly match together. They improved immensely in the second half piling on the pressure going forward. A concern for the team is defender John Dias of Dempo Sports Club who had to come out injured.
