AMBELIM: Churchill Brothers FC put up an impressive performance against Salcete Football Club to thump them 4-0 in the Goa Football Association U-16 League match played, at Ambelim ground, on Saturday.
The young Red Machines didn’t take long before they broke the deadlock in the 4th minute when Aditya Salgaonkar set up Shaikh Tahir for the team’s first as the latter came with a sublime finish which had no answer from the rival keeper.
Despite constant probing, Salcete FC trailed at half time.
Crossing over, Salcete FC tried to get back into the game but Aditya Salgaonkar doubled the account in the 49th minute.
Within two minutes, Arnold Oliveira scored the team’s third in the 51st minute before Mevan Dias hit the final nail in the coffin in the 75th minute to take the goal tally to 4-0 in favor of Churchill Brothers FC.
