PANJIM: Churchill Brothers have continued strengthening their squad for next season, as they completed the signing of striker Balwant Singh.
The forward was previously plying his trade at Salgaocar FC, and will hope to play a pivotal part in the Red Machines’ I-League title defense.
Goal has learnt that the striker has signed up at the Goan outfit on a one year contract. Churchill have also brought in Salgaocar FC custodian Presley Mascarenhas, Sesa’s centre-back Charles Fernandes and Cavolossim defender Gurpreet Singh.
He will be joined at the club by the likes of Micky Fernandes, Anthony Barbosa, and William Colaco for next season, while Churchill Brothers had also recently announced the capture of experienced Portuguese duo Eurípedes Amoreirinha and Hugo Machado.
Having retained Henri Antchouet for another campaign, the club is actively looking out for an Asian striker, which would complete their foreign roster.
