PANJIM: Host Cuncolim Union thrashed Dramapur Sports Club 6-0 to enter the semi-finals of the 7th Cuncolim Union Trophy inter-village football tournament at Cuncolim School ground, on Sunday.
Cuncolim Union dominated the entire match and were leading 3-0 at the breather.
Valkey Fernandes opened the floodgates in the very 8th minute of the match off a pass from Myron Fernandes.
Four minutes later, Daulat Desai doubled the lead after Leander D’Cunha served him the ball on the platter.
Clifton Fernandes made it 3-0 after receiving a pass from Daulat Desai at the stroke of half time.
Post resumption, Dramapur Sports Club could not handle the pressure put up by Cuncolim Union. Stevan Fernandes netted the fourth goal in the 50th minute off Myron’s through pass.
He added another goal in the 64th minute to complete his brace. Myron completed the rout in the dying minutes of the match.
