VARCA: Curtorim Gymkhana beat Arlem Youth Association Raia via tie-breaker 3-1 to move into the final of the Roosevelt Alemao Memorial inter-village football tournament organised by Churchill Brothers FC at Varca Sports Club ground, on Thursday.
At half time, the score was goalless. Both teams missed good scoring chances as their strikers lacked sharpness.
At the end of regulation time, the teams settled for a goalless draw.
In the resultant tie-breaker, Macwil Fernandes, Frazer Castanha and Amar Estibeiro were on target for Curtorim Gymkhana while for Arlem Youth Association only Jouston Barbosa converted. Curtorim Gymkhana keeper Macwil Fernandes won the man-of-the-match.
