Fr Agnel Youth Club, Paroda stunned United Club of Benaulim 3-2 to romp into the quarter-finals of Sao Jose de Areal Panchayat Cup inter-village football tournament organised by Sao Jose de Areal Sports Club at Padribhat ground, Sao Jose de Areal on Saturday. Fr Agnel led 2-0 at half time.
Fr Agnel took the lead in the 3rd minute through striker Luis Colaco. Anthony Dias scored the 2nd goal.
Benaulim reduced the margin through Alfred Fernandes and later on came up with the equaliser.
Fr Agnel scored the match-winner through Timotio Loma.
Paulino Silva of United Club of Benaulim was adjudged man-of- the match. Liberata Noronha, Sarpanch of Sao Jose de Areal inaugurated the tournament.
