RAIA: Curtorim Gymkhana got the better of United Club of Nerul 6-5 via the tie-breaker to move into the quarter-finals of the 46th Custodio memorial football tournament organised by Raia Sporting, at Raia panchayat ground, on Tuesday.
Anthony Cardozo scored the first goal of the match for Curtorim Gymkhana in the 28th minute while Avinash Pereira levelled terms for UC Nerul in the last quarter of the second half.
In the resultant tie-breaker, Curtorim Gymkhana proved to be better shooters.
Curtorim Gymkhana will meet Don Bosco Oratory, Fatorda in the quarter-final on July 9.
