MARGAO: The 42nd edition of inter-village Custodio memorial football championship organized by Raia Sporting Club will witness hosts Raia crossing swords with Don Bosco Oratory at Raia panchayat ground, Raia on Monday.
The final is expected to draw a very big crowd like in the past with Raia sending a message that football at the village level is alive and kicking.
The tournament started in 1971 as a tribute to Raia’s former footballer Custodio D’Souza.
