PANJIM: Deepak Gopani, Amit Naik and Anthony Gomes won their respective age categories in the Veterans category of the 2nd Dr. Filipe Pinto Memorial All Goa Major Ranking Table Tennis tournament organized by Kabir Pinto Makhija in association with Clube Vasco da Gama, here, on Wednesday.
In the 49-plus category, Deepak beat Prashant Kaisare 3–1 in the quarter-finals. He went on to beat Joe Duarte 3–0 in the semi-finals. Deepak got the better Arun Naik 3-1 in the final.
In the 39-plus category, Amit made light work of Daniel Pinto 3–0 in the semi-finals. He went to win the final by beating Glen Coelho 3–0.
In the 59-plus category, Anthony beat Rajendra Naik 3–0 in the semi-final clash. Gomes took down Prakash Alphonso 3–1 to win the final.
