Dempo fire 3 in 3 minutes against Sesa

Dempo walked way with full three points scoring three quick goals in just three minutes against Sesa Football Academy 3-0 in GFA Kingfisher Pro League at Tilak Maidan here on Wednesday.
Dempo gave a good display but the Sesa youngsters played their hearts out against the experienced rivals who had foreigners Roberto Silva and Kalu Ogba in their rank. It was only in the closing stages that Sesa surrendered and suffered three quick goals.
Peter Carvalho scored a brace and substitute Joe Rodrigues added his name to the scorers list with Kalu Ogba doing the spadework.
After waging a relentless attack, Dempo scored the opener in the 88th minute when Peter Carvalho tapped a pass from Kalu Ogba. Two minutes later, after a coordinated move Joaquim Abranches’ shot deflected from goalkeeper Shayan Roy. It travelled to Peter Carvalho, who easily headed the ball in.
Dempo rounded off the tally in injury time after a move initiated from the right flank by substitute Johnny Dias. Valeriano Rebello who was put through essayed it to Ogba who in turn relayed it to Joe Rodrigues, who easily scored.
Earlier, Sesa missed nearly four chances and the Dempo goalkeeper had a tough task to keep a tab on strikers Lezly Fernandes, Jayganesh Goltekar.
“Often, we don’t have a good start at the beginning, but as the League progresses, we improve,” remarked Brazilian Roberto Silva.
Beto acknowledged that despite not playing to their full potential they had walked way with three points scoring three goals in the last three minutes. We were lucky,” he added.
Beto blamed the non-availability of a ground for regular practices.
Disheartened Sesa coach Clifford Chukwuma said that despite exhibiting a good game the team was beaten only in the last few minutes. “We had many opportunities but poor finishing let us down,” he added.
Clifford assured that Sesa will come back strongly.
