The young Flaming Oranje’s displayed a dominant performance right from the kick off, scoring three goals within the first 10 minutes. Shanon Viegas scored the first two while Rahul Halranker added the next.
Sporting Clube had defined the match well within the half time as Joseph De Souza, Rahul Halranker, Ebon Noronha and Shubah Shirnaikar managed to get on the score sheet.
The second half started right from where they stopped as Rahul scored an spectacular goal and went on to add one more goal towards the closing stages of the match to make his personal tally for the evening to four goals. Shanon Viegas and Anthony Fernandes added one each in the second half taking the total goals for Sporting to a towering 11.
At Cansaulim ground, AA De Majorda defeated Baina SC 4-0 after leading 3-0 at the breather.
It was a one way traffic as Sheldon Pereira pout Majorda ahead in the 11th minute and Sanford Colaco doubled the lead in the 18th minute while Delson D’Mello made it 3-0 in the very next minute. In the 54th minute of the second half, Lucky Savita joined the party.
Quitula SC hammered St Anthony SC, Marna 7-0 at Siolim ground.
Quitula got into the scoring act in the very early moments of the match when in the 4th minute Adil Aga set up Manohar Naik inside the penalty area who made no mistake put his team into the lead.
Minutes later Larry Gomes doubled the lead for Quitula when his long range effort found no answer from the rival keeper. Hardly had the cheers died down Quitula struck once again through Adil Aga who scored of a placement.
In the last quarter of the first session Quitula further inflated the score tally with Manohar scoring his brace while Yash Pawar fired in twice to give his side a 6-0 advantage at halftime.
On resumption of play Quitula struck once more through Harsh Patre to take the final score tally to 7-0.
FC Goa gained a walkover after Portais SC failed to turn up for the match at St Cruz ground.
