PANJIM: Cuncolim United Higher Secondary School, Cuncolim won double crowns, clinching the boys and girls State titles, in the Inter-Higher Secondary Sepak Takraw Tournament, organised by Directorate of Sports and Youth Affairs, at Multipurpose indoor hall, Fatorda.
In the boys final, Cuncolim United HSS defeated Harmal Panchokashri HSS, Harmal 21-14 and 21-15. The team consisted of Abdul Shaikh (capitan), Vedant Kunde, Ramesh Damai, Mushahid Shaikh and Stephan Fernandes.
In the girls section, Cuncolim United HSS eased their way past St Thomas HSS, Aldona 21-16 and 21-10. The team comprised Jaina Langoljam (capitan), Doley Fernandes, Anuksha Gaonkar, Siya Velip and Karina Velip.
Both the teams were coached by P. E teachers Sanket Naik Dessai and Sajan Gaonkar.
