VAGATOR: Dunes Sports Club humbled their rivals Friends XI Succorro by a massive 6-1 win in the inaugural match of the 19th Vagator Soccer, organised by Vagator Parish Youth Sports Club and played at Vagator ground, Ozran, on Saturday.
It was Friends XI who took the lead when in the 8th minute of play when Rohan Naik sent a long floater towards Pundalik Naik who nodded the ball home, 1-0.
Dunes restored parity through Leslee Britto soon afterwards. In the 16th minute Dunes managed to take the lead when Glensor Britto charged into the rival camp before placing the ball into the far corner of the nets, 2-1.
Dunes then netted in two more goals before the breather with Glenson and Silvester Dias.
Changing ends, Dunes continued from where they had left and scored through Leslee and Glenson to round off the score tally to 6-1.
