MAPUSA: Dunes Sports Club of Mandrem entered the semifinal with a 5-4 tie-breaker win over Sai Avtar Anjuna Sports Club, in the Augustias Sporting Cup, held at Pomburpa ground, here, on Tuesday.
Dunes took the lead in the first half through Sanmesh Raul. Dinesh Morajkar of Sai Avtar Anjuna restored parity as he scored through a penalty and the game ended in a 1-1 draw.

In the resultant tie-breaker, Sandesh Sawant, Jordan Fernandes, Arun Naik and Leslee Britto scored for Dunes. Dinesh Morajkar, Kreepal Dargalkar, Kunal Virodkar scored for Sai Avtar. Akash Dabholkar short was saved by Jordan Fernandes, Soma Korgaokar’s short ballooned over cross bar. Jordan Fernandes of Dunes Sports Club received man-of-the-match award at the hands of Shailesh Kawlekar ex-football player of Augustias Sporting Club.
