PANJIM: Dzire 7 and SFX Fatorda reached the semi-finals of the Piedade Baptista Memorial 1.0, organised by Baptista Warriors, at The Base, Seraulim, on Saturday.

In the first quarter-finals, SFX stunned tournament favourites Kalina Rangers with a 2-1 win in the penalty shootout.
After battling for 25 minutes in a goalless draw, SFX stood their ground against Mumbai-based Kalina Rangers, who had Scott in the goal. Scott played for Delhi FC in the AIFF futsal league and known for his heroics in the goal.
However, Scott who earlier rescued Kalina Rangers in the penalty shootout against Setting Boys couldn’t do much against energetic SFC side, who defended brilliantly throughout the game.
Mouvin Borges and Nicolau Colaco scored for SFX in the shoot-out while only Clinton managed to score for the outstation team.
In the second quarter-finals of the day, Dzire (D7) outplayed Limon FC, who earlier ousted host Baptista Warriors.
For D7, Sheldon Pereira scored a treble while Meuten Fernandes managed to score a brave.
For the losing side, Limon FC, Jozwan Cardozo scored a consolation goal.
The pool’s two matches will be played on March 13 at The Base, Seraulim from 11.30 a.m. the first match will be between Wakanda FC and St Anthony Boys Margao.
