RAIA: FC Goa scored a solitary goal victory over Cortalim Villagers in the final of Salcete Football Club’s 45th anniversary celebrations U-14 football tournament played at the Sinquetim sports complex, Navelim, recently. The match was evenly balanced with both sides displaying good football which was lustily appreciated and cheered by the spectators who turned out in large numbers to witness the match. The all-important goal was scored by Piyush Aeer in the second half. Piyush who came in as substitute made an immediate impact on the match and was also adjudged the man-of-the-match. Dronacharya Awardee Armando Colaco was the chief guest and gave away the prizes in the presence of dignitaries.
