PANJIM: A fine double from Uddesh Parab helped FC Sanquelim overcome a strong Sirsaim SWC challenge 3-2 in the Goa Football Association Third Division League at Assonora on Monday.
It was a seesaw battle as Uddesh’s 31st minute strike was levelled by Sirsaim’s Shubham Gawas in the 41st minute and then stunned their opponent and surged ahead in the 44th minute through David Pereira.
Sirsaim led 2-1 at the break.
Crossing over, Uddesh made it all square for Sanquelim in the 51st minute and Ashwin Sawal netted the match-winner at the hour mark.
