PANJIM: CAC, Cansaulim prevailed over Cuncolim Union 3-1 to enter into the quarter-finals of Fr Agnelo Youth inter-village football tournament organized by Fr Agnelo Youth Sports Club, Paroda, at panchayat ground, Avedem-Paroda.
Jovito D’Souza put Cansaulim ahead in the 15th minute of the first session but Cuncolim came back strongly thereafter and levelled the score through Saurau Faterpekar.
Cansaulim outfit were in cruise control in the second session and scored twice through Jovito Baretto to make it 3-1. Cliffton Fernandes of Cuncolim missed a golden opportunity to reduce the margin.
The energetic Domnic Soares played smartly to help his team win.
