RAIA: Guardian Angel SC edged Sporting Club Davorlim, 2-1, in a gripping semi-final of the 34th Super Soccer to seal their spot in the title clash.
Ivon Costa put Guardian Angel ahead in the 5th minute before Alent Colaco curled in a fine equaliser for Davorlim. The second half saw relentless Davorlim pressure, but Guardian Angel’s goalkeeper produced crucial saves.
In the 53rd minute, Frazer Gomes delivered the decisive moment with a diving volley that rocketed into the net. Solid defending from Milroy Clemente and Cruz Gomes denied Davorlim any way back.
Frazer Gomes was awarded man-of-the-match by ex-national player Nicholas Rodrigues, coach of Livval Sports Club, Benaulim.
