MARGAO: Futebol Club YFA continued their good run as they got the better of Saviour of the World, Loutolim 6-3 on day 3 of the 3rd Chowgule Sports Centre U-10 Futsal League organised by YFA and co powered by Capitao Security Services and The Kings School, at Chowgule Sports Centre, Margao.
Soham Mane opened the scoring for YFA early in the game. Stallon Fernandes got Saviour of the World back into the match quickly. Zane Reveredo tapped the ball in from Soham’s cross to give YFA the lead again only to be pegged back once again by Saviour of the World this time through Aswin Miranda. Zane scored late in the first half to give YFA a slender lead at half time.
Jaden Dias restored parity immediately after the break, but two quick goals from man-of-the-match Soham Mane to complete his hat-trick and another from Ved Rajput ensured YFA took home all three points from this tough encounter.
The Kings School scored a fluent 4-1 victory against a strong Vidya Vikas Academy team. Man-of-the-match Trond Dias, Elrad Braganza, Shaurya Verenkar and Aloysius Fernandes scored for the winners. Warren Rodrigues scored a consolation goal for Vidya Vikas.
Regina Martyrum HS, Assolna scored five goals past a hapless Child Care team in the third match-of-the-day. Man-of-the-match Neil Fernandes and Ethan Luis scored a brace each and Vollan Coutinho scored the other.
Sweedan scored seven for Rosary HS, Navelim as they steamrolled past Posh EHS Navelim 11-2. Celi netted a hat-trick for the winners. Sanjay and Mevy scored a goal each. Aditya Naik got a consolation for Posh.
A masterclass performance from Yohann Sousa who scored six goals enabled Manovikas EMS beat Infant Jesus HS, Colva by 7-3 in a tricky encounter in which Infant Jesus had taken an early lead. Kirsten Pinheiro was the other scorer. Rishikesh Madiwal scored a brace for Infant Jesus.
St Jude’s HS, Betalbatim scored an easy 7-2 victory against Bloomz International School. Fredrickson Fernandes bagged the man-of-the-match award for his four goal blitz and Milwerd D’costa scored a hat-trick. Elroy D’Silva scored a brace for Bloomz International.
