PANJIM: The Goa Football Association extended its sincerest congratulations to Dempo Sports Club for emerging as the undisputed champion of the 2nd Division I-League by earning a promotion to the I-League and becoming the third Goan team in the top most flight of Indian football.
President Elvis Gomes said, “On behalf of all the clubs and the members of GFA, we congratulate Dempo Sports Club for their stupendous performance and hope that the club will go from strength to strength.”
“In a time of uncertainty for Indian football, Dempo Sports Club’s management and team have remained passionate and devoted to the cause of football. Goa is happy to see its presence in the I-League bolstered,” he stated.
